Finally... speech about speciesism

I was watching the oscars Sunday night -don’t normally watch whole thing live - but for some reason did- and I felt if Joaquin Phoenix won (for his performance as the Joker) he would speak up for the animals, as he often does. And he did. As soon as he said “animal rights” I felt tears in my eyes.

And as he eloquently continued - talking about speciesism in the same category with all the other inequalities we face- I was just overwhelmed with gratitude. To hear someone speak for the animals like this on this type of platform. And it was received with big applause! 👏

It just was so beautiful to grasp that we really are on this timeline -finally- the one which will allow for the species hierarchy to be dismantled. ❤️
