This is Perry-my sweet dog brother who lived with me and my parents when I was younger. I recently came across this photo I took of him.
I’ve been thinking about him with all the rain we are experiencing because I remember he did not like walking across puddles of water. We had to pick him up and carry him across puddles. He just stood there and waited patiently. I talk with so many dogs (and other animals) and love learning how incredibly unique and individual they all are in all the ways. Some dogs want to roll in mud and others refuse to get their paws wet.☔️Our “job” as their beloved human companions/family is to understand them and see it from their perspective. And to honor what they need even if it feels like an eccentricity or odd quirk. There are definitely stereotypes of what a dog “should” do / be. But that’s just human expectations. Once we leave behind these expectations we can better provide the environmental and emotional support they need- just as they so unconditionally do for us. And if they need it- we can carry them across puddles.💧✨ Tonight I just have a gentle message for all of you who always felt animals are equal but have been misunderstood by others who weren’t there yet.
You were just ahead of the collective thinking. Honor that part of you that felt it - send love to that younger you (whether it was many years ago or last week)- and reconnect with that intuition. It is what will help you have a deeper understanding of your animal companion and animals in general. Honor your heart. ❤️ My son with Bastet- jumped up there on his own and I could feel him purring next to her.✨ I was watching the oscars Sunday night -don’t normally watch whole thing live - but for some reason did- and I felt if Joaquin Phoenix won (for his performance as the Joker) he would speak up for the animals, as he often does. And he did. As soon as he said “animal rights” I felt tears in my eyes.
And as he eloquently continued - talking about speciesism in the same category with all the other inequalities we face- I was just overwhelmed with gratitude. To hear someone speak for the animals like this on this type of platform. And it was received with big applause! 👏 It just was so beautiful to grasp that we really are on this timeline -finally- the one which will allow for the species hierarchy to be dismantled. ❤️ (If you haven’t heard it- please google -it’s less than 4 minutes powerful and heartfelt) If you did see/hear it - would love to know your reactions ❤️ Link to hear speech: https://www.facebook.com/320045168076964/posts/2657450491003075/?vh=e This is Juneau - one of my sons in spirit.
I wanted to mention for those of you who are wanting to communicate more with your spirit /star guides that our animal companions in spirit have been telling me in more & more sessions that they can & want to help with that. ✨ Because of the love and trust already in place with our beloved babies in spirit- it can make us feel more safe and comfortable to meet and get to know our guidance better. ✨ Juneau and his brother Jarvis (also in spirit) are my compass. If someone energetically is “approved” by them then I know it’s ok. ❤️ After animals cross, despite the pain of perceived separation, it can be the beginning of a new type of relationship- it can evolve into them guiding and supporting us from across the bridge.✨ |
