Our Animal Companions Take Care of Us

Have you had the experience where you are busily running around or frantically answering emails and your animal companion chooses that moment to insistently demand you stop what you are doing and play with them or snuggle? 

This is our animal companions taking care of us. They can see our energy and when our systems become stressed - they want to help us because they love us so much and see it as their "job" to help us stay healthy.

My cat kids are very skilled at doing this. I'm not perfect and sometimes I'm trying to finish some work as they begin asking me to stop & slow down for a minute. If I don't stop quickly they will either turn up the volume or melt me with sweetness, but most of the time they get their way.

Here is an example in the photos above of Merlin keeping me outside extra long so he could lounge on my lap and I am so grateful. For a few moments I am fully in the now and feeling the sunshine with as much pleasure as he does. Gracie Belle goes as far as convincing me to actually lie down & snuggle her when she sees I need a short break.

​I am beyond grateful for how beautifully they take care of me and our moments simply being together fill my heart with incomparable happiness.
